You and I both know that if we can get our kids to read they can learn anything. This is really what educating your child comes down to. There is A LOT of pressure from society to get your child reading. Unfortunately, some children just are not ready for reading from age 3-7 years old. Just know that this is ok. Interestingly enough, it has been said that the window opportunity to really engage your child in reading is about the time they loose their first tooth.
The more stressed YOU are in getting your child to read when they are not ready the more they will hate reading. Relax and go with the flow, though it is important to always have reading exposure (even if it is you reading to them). If you have concerns, there are definatly things you can do everyday to prepare them for reading in natural ways that will help them pick up on reading quickly when they are ready. I have created reading guides that can be downloaded to help support you and your child through the process of reading. If you feel your child is struggling with making reading connections, I provide specialty reading programs to help them boost reading ability and confidence. |

Soundsory uses music and movement to activate portions of the brain that manage sound processing and recall. This supports and strengthens and trains the neural processing of sounds.
