Who Am I?
|
I am a certified Elementary Education teacher with further experience in gifted and talented programs as well as remedial courses, though, right now I am teaching my children in my home. I have a deep passion for learning, mentoring, and instructing courses on a variety of different topics including functions of the brain, improvement for struggling readers, building a variety of different study units, educational supports, emotional development, self- improvement strategies, spiritual studies, and overall health & wellness.
With this knowledge I have had the opportunity to build By Design Learning Center LLC in which I created and ran a preschool and tutored. I have continued to offer community classes, teach on-line STARS credited classes for early educator and daycare certifications, provide group and individual mentoring, offer a variety of on-line homeschool family trainings, and direct Dr. Nedley’s Depression and Anxiety Recovery Program. Along with the recovery classes I administer, I had the opportunity to place my "Knowing Your Wellness" articles in the local newspaper. I enjoyed creating and directing Afton's first and second family & community educational conference entitled HORIZON- Rising to the next level, and have presented at a variety of different events over the past several years including health, educational & women's conferences as well as youth firesides. |
